Dr. Trent earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Rockhurst University in 2007, a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2010, and a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2022.
Licensed in Kansas and Missouri, Dr. Trent has over fifteen years of experience as a clinician and clinical instructor in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services, for which he was awarded the Kathy Johnson Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching. He is recognized as an orthopedic board-certified specialist in physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and holds additional certifications in spinal manual therapy from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Dr. Trent joined the ÐßÐßÊÓÆµ in 2020 and teaches coursework covering the assessment and management of orthopedic conditions. He is passionate about community service and technology in the DPT student experience, serving as chair of the respective committees. His research focuses on the implementation of ACL injury risk-reduction programs, and his company, Peak Soccer, aims to enhance the adoption, implementation, and maintenance of such programs within the soccer community.
Dr. Trent has a wife, two children, and a slew of pets. He coaches multiple teams and enjoys the arts, pick-up sports, and board gaming.
